Three victims killed in small airplane crash off the coast of California were identified after witnesses reported hearing an aircraft before it went down.

Two people died Saturday when a small plane veered off the runway and caught fire at a private recreational airstrip near West Glacier, according to information provided by the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

NLFP says that it was a single engine aircraft and they had an emergency crash landing, which later became engulfed in flames. NLFP says that the three passengers onboard were able to safely get out without any injuries before the plane caught on fire.
