Donald Trump's Republicans held on to a narrow edge on Friday as election officials tallied the final votes that will determine control of the U.S. House of Representatives, though Democrats succeeded in flipping a pair of New York state seats.

While the whole world was watching the presidential election, the results of which are already known, important elections were also taking place in the US – for both chambers of Congress. And one of them still has an open outcome.
