New passenger car registrations in Bulgaria increased by 2.9% year-on-year to 19,472 units in the five months through May, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) said on Wednesday.
The cars with petrol engines are most popular in Bulgaria, shows a survey of the Interior Ministry on the number and type of registered cars as of July 1, quoted by BTA. Their number is 1 752 690.
Bulgaria's new cars market declined by 44% in February 2010 year-on-year. According to the Association of Car Producers and Authorized Dealers, only 1 248 new cars were sold in Bulgaria in February.
Pricing is a bit steep for these Bulgarian performance machines with the R1 450 (450 hp version) coming in at approximately $210,000, and the faster R1 650 ringing the bell at a bit over $257,000.
