Kolby Allard, who previously played for the Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers and Philadelphia Phillies, has signed a minor league deal with the perennial AL Central contenders.

The Chicago Cubs are still in the mix for bullpen pieces after trading for Ryan Pressly. Jed Hoyer made it clear early in the offseason that he wants to improve the Cubs bullpen and has done that with more than just Pressly. Recent reports have indicated Chicago could be interested in reuniting with former closer David Robertson.
