DALLAS — The eastbound lanes of-635 at McCree Road in Dallas County were shut down Wednesday because of a crash involving an 18 wheeler, officials say. Garland police say an 18-wheeler lost control for an unknown reason shortly after 10 a.m. and hit two vehicles and a barrier. No major injuries were reported.
All westbound lanes of I-30 will be shut down and drivers will be detoured to the frontage road at St. Francis Avenue from 9 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20 for bridge maintenance, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

“Just one decision on the part of one of those road users, whether that be the person walking or the person driving, probably could have made that different,” he said. “Different design of the roadway or different infrastructure in place, et cetera, all those things, any of those factors could have helped prevent [a] crash.”
