SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga sprained his right ankle Saturday night and coach Steve Kerr expects the forward to miss some time.
The Warriors could be without forward Jonathan Kuminga for an extended period after he suffered a "significant" sprain in his right ankle.

Kuminga knew it was bad immediately, rolling over twice toward the baseline in pain, standing up and limping directly to the locker room. Rick Celebrini, the team’s medical decision-maker, followed. Kuminga never emerged, remaining in the locker room to ice his sprained right ankle during the second half.

Jonathan Kuminga has suffered a “significant lateral ankle sprain” and will be re-evaluated in three weeks, the team announced. The injury happened late in the first half against the Grizzlies. For the season, Kuminga is averaging 16.8 points and 5 rebounds a game, and he has had strong outings lately, including back-to-back 34-point games.
