MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo will be out indefinitely with a toe injury, the team announced Monday.
DiVincenzo has a Grade 3 sprain in his left big toe after suffering the injury against the Golden State Warriors last week.

Just as Donte DiVincenzo was heating up, the injury bug bites. The Minnesota Timberwolves guard is out indefinitely due to a left big toe injury he sustained on Jan. 15 against Golden State, ESPN reported Monday. DiVincenzo, whose foot has been placed in a boot, will receive additional opinions on treatment options in the coming days.
DiVincenzo is undoubtedly bummed to miss Friday's game against his old team. It would've been his first regular season game at MSG since being traded from the Knicks to the Wolves along with Julius Randle in late September.
DiVincenzo was recently promoted to the starting lineup over Mike Conley and was averaging 17.5 points and 4.7 assists as a starter. Minnesota was 4-2 in those games.

DiVincenzo, a 6-foot-4 guard in his seventh season out of Villanova, had missed the last two games with the injury.
