Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo will be out indefinitely due to a Grade 3 left toe sprain and will receive additional opinions, the team announced Monday.
With four and a half minutes remaining in Monday's game against the Grizzlies, Timberwolves coach Chris Finch took rookie Rob Dillingham off the floor and put starting point guard Mike Conley back in. The Wolves led 100-95 at the time.
Putting DiVincenzo in the starting lineup also gives him a role closer to what he had in New York last season when he thrived as a spark-plug shooter and defender for the Knicks. He started 68 games in the regular season and every playoff game for New York.
