In 2023, Berger’s World War I drama All Quiet on the Western Front picked up 14 BAFTA nominations, equaling the record for a non-English-language film first set by Ang Lee’s wuxia masterpiece Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon . It also ended up with seven wins, including for best film.

Award-winning Irish-language film Kneecap has scored six nods for the 2025 British Academy of Film and Television (BAFTA) Film Awards, while Saoirse Ronan has been nominated in the Leading Actress category for her role in The Outrun.

Conclave leads the pack with 12 nominations, with Netflix's Emilia Pérez – which led the longlists with 15 mentions – close behind with 11 nominations. The Brutalist landed nine nominations, with Anora, Dune: Part Two and Wicked all ending up with seven nominations.

SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA — Millions of Southern Californians were on edge as winds began picking up during a final round of dangerous fire weather forecast for the region where two massive blazes have killed at least 25 and destroyed thousands of homes.
