Lawmakers are turning their attention to Missouri's congressional map as critics call the proposed changes illegal gerrymandering that would weaken Kansas City's political representation.

Residents from Kansas City and across Missouri packed into the basement of the state Capitol to oppose the map and a plan to overhaul direct democracy.
