The 47 Freeway and the Vincent Thomas Bridge remained closed Friday morning, Sept. 27, as Los Angeles city firefighters continue to monitor a lithium-battery fire erupted after a truck overturned on Thursday, officials said.

The Vincent Thomas Bridge, running through the Port of Los Angeles, remains closed in both directions as fire crews remove a big rig that was carrying lithium-ion batteries and caught fire after flipping over.
