Silverwood Lake is back open following a nearly monthlong closure due to the ignition of the Lake Fire on June 28 along the Silverwood's northern shore.

A fire on July 4th in Apple Valley destroyed multiple apartment buildings. The fire, reported around 12:43 p.m. on Sago Lane, displaced an unknown number of residents.
