Shohei Ohtani had a quiet night on Monday as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Diego Padres 8-7 in 10 innings. Ohtani doubled in his first at-bat, but was held hitless the rest of the night. Ohtani did reach base twice more in the game as he walked in the top of the fourth and then reached on a throwing error in the eighth.
Shohei Ohtani pulled up a little lame after sliding into third base during the Dodgers' win over the Padres on Wednesday.
Per MLB.com and The Athletic, Ohtani threw 44 pitches. Per The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya, Ohtani allowed one hit and one walk and threw a wild pitch. He recorded six of his nine outs via strikeout. Here's video of a swinging strike to record the final out of his session:
