It’s a question that naturally loops in the Knicks as a realistic landing spot for an all-time great in the final chapter of his Hall of Fame career.
The team swapped out Tom Thibodeau in favor of Mike Brown in hopes that it would help the Knicks get past the Eastern Conference Finals and into the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999. While the move was applauded by many, The Athletic insider David Aldridge wasn't a fan, placing the Knicks at No. 15 in his offseason rankings.
Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report just gave the over/under for wins and predicted win totals for all 30 NBA teams in a recent article. The Knicks' over/under is at 53.5 wins, and the only East team with a higher figure is the Cavaliers. Overall, only three NBA teams were given a higher over/under than New York in this piece.
While the Knicks will enter next season among the favorites to win the East, insider James L. Edwards III recently predicted a major lineup change under Brown.
