People all across Houston are bundling up and prepping their homes ahead of the anticipated cold weather in southeast Texas this week. With a Winter Storm Watch already in place, Houstonians have been advised to be ready for low temperatures,

Temps have already plummeted across Southeast Texas, but the main story will be the chance of significant snow and ice later this week.

Storm Warning is in effect until 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Snow, ice and sleet could fall from Monday night through Tuesday. We expect much of the area to see 2 to 4 inches of snow, but some areas could see more.

The City of Houston speaks about the steps that have been taken in preparation for this week's winter storm.

Houston mayor John Whitmire said it's "all hands on deck" as the city expects a winter storm that promises heavy snow, sleet and freezing rain. "I've been convinced that we are about to experience a very serious and dangerous whether episode,
