BENTONVILLE -- Grant Hardin's prison escape has opened old wounds for those victimized by his crimes as well as those who worked in law enforcement when he was convicted of them.

Hardin was arrested in February 2017 after James Appleton, a 59-year-old city employee for the Gateway, Arkansas, water department, was shot and killed in his white Chevy truck.
