Wind-driven wildfires in Oklahoma have killed at least four people and resulted in 142 others being taken to local hospitals with fire-related injuries, the state's Department of Emergency Management said Sunday.

Oklahomans are assessing the devastation after wildfires damaged or destroyed hundreds of homes around the state during a severe weather outbreak

Several wildfires have burned across Oklahoma destroying several homes and buildings, including the farmhouse of that state's Gov. Kevin Stitt.

Wildfires blazed across western Oklahoma, with deer observed running from the fires. Reports from local news outlets indicated 130 wildfires were active in 44 Oklahoma counties.
