To make way for this new attraction in Florida, Universal will permanently close Fast & Furious — Supercharged in 2027. The new ride will fill the space formerly occupied by Universal’s Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit coaster. The steel attraction thrilled guests for 16 years before it closed permanently on Aug. 17, 2025.

It’s official: Universal Orlando announced Tuesday that its newest thrill ride will be Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, a high-speed coaster based on the "Fast & Furious" movie franchise.
