Rocky River vs. Toledo Central Catholic football: Pirates fall in regional final, 57-28
The No. 5-seeded Pirates couldn’t keep up with No. 6 Toledo Central Catholic in a 57-28 defeat in the Division III, Region 10 final Nov. 21 at Clyde. The state powerhouse Fighting Irish (10-4) rushed for 401 yards, with 306 coming in the first half. Junior running back Jeremiah Fuller finished with 283 yards on the ground and five touchdowns.
The OHSAA announced the pairings for the Nov. 28 football state semifinals, and there could be a repeat central Ohio-only matchup in Division III.
WAPAKONETA – This has been a special football season for Wapakoneta.
