A prominent political science professor at Norfolk State University has died, according to officials with the university.

NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State University is mourning the loss of a beloved member of the Green and Gold community. On Tuesday, the school announced the passing of professor Carol Pretlow.

Vick, a Newport News native and former NFL star, was unanimously approved as the university's 19th head coach last week.
