A heat advisory has been issued for the Lower Hudson Valley on Monday, July 28, as heat index levels are predicted to reach over 104 degrees.

The National Weather Service has issued severe thunderstorm warnings for New York City and parts of the Hudson Valley, New Jersey and Connecticut, with expected wind gusts of up to 70 mph and potential hail.

Not only will Friday’s heat make for dangerous weather in terms of how it feels outside, but it is expected to fuel storms that will develop by early afternoon.
