Voters across the state will elect two new members to the leadership boards at Wayne State University, Michigan State University and University of Michigan on Tuesday.

Republican Mike Balow won one seat on the MSU Board of Trustees, but a winner for the second seat remained undecided on Friday.

One Democratic incumbent, labor leader Mark Gaffney, was ousted from the Wayne State University Board of Governors, The AP said, based on unofficial results, reducing the Democratic majority on that board to 5-3 from 6-2.
