Michigan football already has gotten one transfer portal defensive tackle in former Belleville (Mich.) and Alabama DT Damon Payne. The Wolverines are also targeting another Clemson player in wide receiver Tony Stellato.

The transfer portal closed on Dec. 28, making it the last day players could submit their paperwork to enter the NCAA transfer portal. Now, with so many people entering, the portal has been slow updating, but upon further review, one more Spartan has entered.

Michigan has long been known as a tight end friendly program. If you are a high school TE prospect, Michigan has to be at the top of your list based on how they feature players at that position. Recent TE Colston Loveland is widely viewed as a top 15 NFL draft pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Jordon Simmons was a member of Michigan State’s 2020 recruiting class, the last of Mark Dantonio’s tenure, but was retained when Mel Tucker got to campus. Simmons then spent the next four seasons in East Lansing, before transferring to Akron for this past season. The former Spartan is now in the transfer portal once again.
