A pair of moccasin-style basketball sneakers debuted by Kyrie Irving during the Western Conference Finals is finally set to release. The Anta Kai 1 "Chief Hélà" is a tribute to Irving's Native American heritage and is titled after the Lakota name given to him by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in 2018.

Dubbed "Chief Hélà," this upcoming Kai 1 makeup pays homage to Irving's Native American heritage, mimicking footwear traditionally worn by Indigenous people. The rest of the shoe is dressed in a brown color scheme with moccasin fringe wrapping around the heel. Completing the look is a light brown outsole.

Kyrie Irving’s partnership with Chinese shoe company ANTA has been very successful so far, so it’s not surprising to hear that he has more products on the way. On Thursday morning, Nick DePaula debuted a video of Irving’s upcoming Hélà multi-laced “lifestyle” shoe.

Thompson has been an Anta signature athlete since 2015 and is expected to introduce his 10th signature model, the KT X, later this fall. Irving's first signature shoe with Anta, the Kai 1, debuted this spring.
