Adobe's new Experience Designer (XD) aims to simplify and consolidate the mash-up of design and prototyping tools currently used by most User Experience designers.

Adobe's Project Comet user experience design tool is now officially named Adobe XD, and is available to Adobe ID holders as a free public preview -- initially on Mac OS X only.

Free to try, Adobe XD allows you to go from wireframe to interactive prototype, from desktop to mobile, in seconds.

The integration is meant to make it easier for designers to export and preview Adobe XD voice prototypes to Google Assistant devices.

Adobe says the update will enable easier collaboration with other designers. Starting today, cloud documents will be the default way of working in XD.
