The Charlotte Hornets were given the No. pick in the 2025 NBA Draft in Monday's draft lottery. Another heartbreak ending for a franchise that desperately needs a boost.

The Dallas Mavericks — who initiated one of the biggest trades in the history of the league in February, sending Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis — rose on the draft board, scoring the No. 1 overall pick, capitalizing on just a 1.8% chance at the top spot.

After falling out of the Top 3 in the 2025 NBA Draft, the Charlotte Hornets will still have some great players to choose from at pick No. 4.
