Local food pantries are having to increase their supply and meet what they anticipate will be triple the demand for groceries in the coming months.

The Holts Summit Food Pantry had to temporarily close on Tuesday due to a food shortage. The pantry had no meat or dry goods, and its bread supply was low as well. The pantry said it's seen an increase in people but a decrease in food.
