After Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump met on Sept. 10 for their first and likely only presidential debate, images of Harris have been shared on social media alongside a false narrative that an earphone was embedded in her earrings.

A conspiracy theory says Harris was wearing hidden earphones disguised as pearl earrings in the presidential debate.

Social media posts baselessly claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris wore earrings equipped with audio devices in order to cheat during her debate with former President Donald Trump. There is no credible evidence that Harris' earrings contained audio transmitters. Photos show her earrings do not match the claimed wireless model.
