Cyprus’ Council of EU presidency to focus on bloc’s enlargement
Cyprus’ six-month term as the holder of the Council of the European Union’s rotating presidency will focus on plans to enlarge the EU, according to a draft programme for the term seen by the Cyprus Mail on Thursday.
European Council President António Costa met with the Presidents of European Committee of the Regions and European Economic and Social Committee on 22 October 2025. They main topic of their discussion was affordable housing.
