Arizona had the passing game working, but it didn't matter in a 41-22 loss to San Francisco at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.
Brock Purdy returned from a six-game absence to throw three touchdowns as the 49ers (7-4) romped to a 41-22 win over the host Cardinals (3-7).
The 49ers' team captains stepped up in Arizona. One of them, George Kittle, said the team is positioned right where it needs to be.
On a 70-yard, first-quarter drive that made the score 13-0, the 49ers needed only five plays to reach the end zone with three plays gaining 13 and 25 by Demarcus Robinsion and Jauan Jennings, respectively, and a 30-yard touchdown by Kittle.
In the Arizona Cardinals ' 41-22 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, 20 players participated in at least one of the 79 offensive snaps. Left tackle Paris Johnson Jr., left guard Evan Brown, center Hjalte Froholdt and quarterback Jacoby Brissett played every snap. Tight end Trey McBride played all but nine.
