Yemen's Houthi rebels said late on Sunday they would impose a "comprehensive" aerial blockade on Israel by repeatedly targeting its airports, in response to Israel expanding its operations in Gaza.

A missile launched by Iranian-backed rebels in Yemen briefly halted flights and commuter traffic at Israel’s main international airport.

After around 10 strikes hit the area around Yemen's capital, Sanaa, Houthi rebels blamed them on Washington, promised more of their own strikes on Israel and warned airlines to cancel their flights to Israeli airports.
