A teenage boy visiting Yellowstone National Park was seriously burned when his foot broke through the ground near a geyser by the infamous Old Faithful, officials said.

A 17-year-old hiker suffered “significant thermal burns” on his foot and ankle after coming in contact with a geyser at Yellowstone National Park on Monday, officials said. In September, a 60-year-old New Hampshire woman broke through the thin crust of a thermal area and fell into scalding hot water, burning her leg, Nexstar’s KTVX reported. She had been walking her leashed dog with her husband off-trail in the park.
