The Gates Foundation has committed $2.5 billion over five years to advance women's health research. This investment aims to support over 40 innovations, including AI-powered ultrasound equipment and long-lasting birth control injections.

The money will support dozens of different approaches for improving women’s health, from new medicines to prevent maternal mortality to vaccines to curb infections that disproportionately affect women.
