Gov. Tim Walz released the following statement Sunday night on the arrest of Vance Boelter following the “assassination” of Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, and the “attempted assassination” of John and Yvette Hoffman,

The wife of Vance Boelter, who is suspected in the Minnesota lawmaker shootings, was in a vehicle that was pulled over by law enforcement on Saturday. Passports and cash were found in the vehicle.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President JD Vance on Tuesday made a brief trip to Montana, where he spoke to media mogul Rupert Murdoch; his son Lachlan Murdoch, the head of Fox News and News Corp.; and a group of other Fox News executives, according to two people familiar with the trip.

Vance married his wife, Usha Vance, in 2014. Together, they have three children. Usha Vance made history as the first Indian American second lady in the White House, and the first Hindu second lady.

A source sent FOX 9 the announcement from law enforcement on a bullhorn announcing the arrest of Vance Boelter, who is suspected of assassinating Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband. He's also suspected of shooting and injuring John Hoffman and his wife.

Vance Boelter, named in multiple news reports as the accused shooter of Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses, wrote on social media that he was the CEO of a company called "Red Lion Group."
