According to multiple reports, a small Cessna 172 Skyhawk, a lightweight single-engine trainer aircraft, crashed into a large field. According to reports from the Los Angeles Fire Department, the aircraft crashed into a field near the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area in Sherman Oaks, a neighborhood in Los Angeles, California.

VAN NUYS — A fundraising effort is continuing in support of two 22-year-old men and church volunteers whose car was struck by a Mercedes allegedly involved i n a street race against a Rolls-Royce in Van Nuys, leaving one of the victims dead and the other critically injured.

Two people were left in critical condition and two others wounded after a vehicle collided into another car that was street racing in Van Nuys, police said Saturday.
