Tropical Storm Helen has enhanced the southwest monsoon, or habagat, as it moves over the Philippine Sea, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Wednesday.

Tropical storm Bebinca left the Philippines with six dead and at least two missing, the Philippine government said on Sunday.

At least 14 people have been killed after a tropical storm triggered floods and landslides in the Philippines. Tropical Storm Yagi, locally called Enteng, swept through the northern tourist city of Antipolo.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Tropical Storm “Helen” (international name “Pulasan”) left the country’s area of responsibility at 5 p.m.

Tropical Storm Helen moved over the northern section of the Philippine Sea as it enhanced the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, with intense rains over some areas in Luzon on Wednesday, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
