Michigan and tropical storm systems aren’t two things that one would think go hand in hand. With the 45th parallel - which is latitude that marks the halfway point from the Equator to the North Pole - running through the state, it’s rare for tropical systems to make it this far north.

As we head into the final day of Hurricane Beryl in the Erie area, here is a look at what the rest of the forecast entails and what we have seen.

Tropical Storm Beryl is forecast to move northeastward into the Lower Ohio Valley Tuesday night, bringing heavy rain and flooding to the area.
