A thunderstorm weather warning has been issued for the south-east of England. The yellow weather warning, covering Kent, Sussex and Surrey, begins at 11:00 BST on Monday and will run until 21:00. The Met Office issued the warning, saying a few places "could see 30 to 50mm of rain within a couple of hours" in the afternoon and early evening.

Two yellow weather alerts are in place for Friday covering much of England. Only Cornwall and areas of Devon are likely to be unaffected. The Met Office says that areas of North East England are likely to be affected by torrential rain,

Yellow and amber weather warnings are already in place today (July 19), but now the Met Office has issued new warnings for Monday.
