The NewsGuild of New York has asked Wordle fans not to play New York Times-owned phone games, including Wordle and Connections, in order to support a workers’ strike.

Times Tech Guild workers walked off the job on Monday and intend to picket from 9 a.m. EST to 6 p.m. EST each day at the Times office. The Guild said that if “no progress is made Monday” and the strike continues, the strike will be the “first to coincide with a presidential election in the NewsGuild since the 1964 Detroit Newspaper Strike.”
