The death toll from Texas flooding over the weekend surpassed 100 on Monday evening as search and rescue teams continue the hunt for dozens of missing victims. At least 104 people are dead across six counties.

A search for Texas flood survivors intensified as Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued a disaster declaration for nearly two dozen Texas counties.

Local officials warned the number of dead will likely rise and were due to give an update on Sunday morning, as search and rescue teams raced to find 27 girls missing from a camp near the Guadalupe River,

Kerr County, Texas and national search and rescue operations will continue Monday around the Guadalupe River, where families wait for news of their loved ones.

The Texas summer camp where children died in flooding is in an area meteorologists refer to as "Flash Flood Alley."
