A Delta Air Lines flight was delayed twice on Saturday after two pigeons caused chaos onboard. The first bird began flying around the cabin shortly after boarding, prompting the aircraft to return to the gate. Ground crew removed it, but as the plane taxied out for takeoff, a second pigeon took flight, forcing the flight back once again.
Pigeons try to hitch a ride on board a flight to Madison, Wisconsin Saturday. Two pigeons had to be caught and removed from Delta Flight 2348 before it even left Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport. One of the pigeons was reportedly caught by baggage handlers before the flight began its taxi only for a second to pop up shortly after.

Visual deterrents are another option— placing a decoy crow, a natural predator of pigeons, often works well. Other simple alternatives include hanging CDs, aluminum foil, or colorful ribbons. These methods are practical and don’t cause harm to the birds.
