Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass announced that the nightly curfew will be extended for a few more days amid ongoing protests against immigration raids.
On Saturday, thousands of people gathered in front of the Statehouse steps in Boise to protest the Trump presidency. They joined millions across the country marching in “No King” protests, organized to counter what is perceived as authoritarian actions from the administration.
According to police, 15 people were arrested in connection with the protests, far less than the 94 arrested during anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement protests Downtown days earlier.
More than 70 No Kings demonstrations or events were planned throughout Michigan, including ones in Dearborn and Wyandotte. Others in Ferndale, Detroit and Ann Arbor drew the largest crowds while more unique ones took place over an Interstate 696 overpass in Roseville and a highway trail bridge in Romeo.
LAPD said law enforcement arrested 38 people following the "No Kings" protests in downtown Saturday afternoon.
