Jase Richardson scored 17 points and No. 7 Michigan State used a 15-point run in the second half to spark a 74-64 victory over No. 23 Oregon in the first Big Ten tournament quarterfinal Friday in Indianapolis.

The No. 11 Maryland Terrapins and No. 22 Michigan Wolverines square off in the Big Ten Tournament. The teams meet Saturday for the second time this season.

After losing three straight games to close out the regular season, Michigan basketball is finally into postseason play, playing as the 3-seed in the Big Ten Tournament. After a double bye, the Wolverines open up tournament play against a 6-seed Purdue team that blew them out in West Lafayette but succumbed to the maize and blue in Ann Arbor.
