Kirby Air Riders will release on the Switch 2 some time in 2025, though likely after the console itself arrives on June 5th. It’s part of a wave of GameCube throwbacks in the Switch 2 launch event, including the arrival of GameCube titles on Nintendo Switch Online and the launch of a wireless GameCube controller that’s compatible with the Switch 2.

Kirby Air Riders was one of the most surprising upcoming Switch 2 games shown amongst yesterday's bombardment of Nintendo Switch 2 Direct news – a sequel to the adorable Kirby racing game which first arrived almost 22 years ago.

Kirby Air Ride is back, baby, this time in the form of Kirby Air Riders — an all-new racer for the pink puffball launching on Switch 2 at some point this year. We don't have all that much information on this one just yet, but we're excited to dive in once we have more information.
