An investigation is underway after a 13-year-old was struck and killed by a pickup truck near a Market Basket store in Leominster on Monday, authorities said.

LEOMINSTER — A young pedestrian died after being struck by a pickup truck near a supermarket early Monday evening, according to police. The crash occurred just after 6 p.m. outside Market Basket on Sack Boulevard, near the Mall at Whitney Field.
