Six Flags Great Adventure announced some major changes to its attraction lineup on Thursday. The amusement park will be closing Kingda Ka and Green Lantern coasters to make room for a new "multi-world-record-breaking launch roller coaster" that will debut at Six Flags in 2026. No additional details were released about the new ride.

Great Adventure announced Thursday, Nov. 14, that its introducing The Flash: Vertical Velocity in 2025. But to make room for the new addition, Kingda Ka and the Green Lantern rides will be taken down. Kingda Ka was ranked as the world’s tallest and fastest coaster, and has been ridden 12 million times since 2005.
