KU hasn’t won in Waco since 2020. Fortunately for the Jayhawks, though, this Bears squad has a couple of weaknesses that KU can exploit. Baylor’s defense is lacking. The Bears struggle to defend and often send opponents to the foul line. If the Jayhawks can get off to a fast start and force Baylor to get into foul trouble — KU should win.

The collapse by the Jayhawks (15-6, 6-4 Big 12), who led 40-21 at halftime, came a week after sixth-ranked Houston pulled off improbable rallies in the final seconds of regulation and the first overtime in a double-OT win at Allen Fieldhouse.

Kansas basketball should be celebrating a Big 12 Conference road victory. Instead, the Jayhawks are dealing with a disappointing loss at Baylor.
