As of now, iOS 18 is here. You can download and install it if your device is compatible, but it already comes with all iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro models that will be available on September 20.

Apple’s newest software update, iOS 18, is rolling out today to all iPhone users. While AI technology was heavily hyped as a key part of this upgrade, Apple Intelligence features aren’t part of this release.

iOS 18 has a built-in Game Mode that Apple says “minimizes background activity to sustain consistently high frame rates.” You can try it just by launching any game in your collection: You should see a pop-up message at the top of the screen telling you Game Mode has been automatically enabled (you can tap this to turn it off if needed).
