Update: Gold Fire burns 348 acres in San Bernardino County since Aug. 4
Gold Fire initially started 9:23 a.m. Aug. 4 in San Bernardino County, California. Since its discovery 24 hours ago, it has burned 348 acres. As of Tuesday morning, the blaze remains 0% contained and keeps spreading. However, the cause is still under investigation.
The Gifford Fire in the Los Padres National Forest has been 7% contained as officials battled new starts near Big Bear Lake and Ribbonwood.
