Nicholas Wimbish was arrested and charged with several felonies. He is suspected of mailing a bomb threat to the Jones County Elections Office.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Georgia announced that a Jones County poll worker was arrested after mailing a letter with violent threats to local election workers.

CNN reported that the temporary closure of polling places occurred at the Etris Community Center and Gullatt Elementary in Union City, and noted that Union City’s population is nearly 90% Black, according to the US Census Bureau.
